Vintage Houdaille Powercam Crankset 172.5mm Sugino Mighty Competition Boxed 80s

Rare vintage 1980s Houdaille Powercam eccentric cam-driven retrofit crankset assembly. This unique piece of cycling history utilizes a specialized internal mechanical linkage system designed to eliminate the dead spot in the pedal stroke. Features 172.5mm alloy crankarms, an massive 68-tooth French-made outer chainring, and a Sugino Mighty Competition 44-tooth inner chainring made in Japan.
Condition is used but very good. The alloy components show bright surfaces with light installation marks and minor cosmetic storage scuffs. Chainring teeth exhibit very light, minimal wear with zero hooking or heavy sharpening. Cam mechanism feels intact. Included is the original foam-lined retail box which shows heavy shelf wear, surface peeling, and tearing from long-term storage. Also includes the eccentric bottom bracket cam adapter shell.
An incredible, complete center-piece addition for a vintage retro road bike build or oddity collection.
