Recap: DJ SS at Bass Surge Wednesdays, Audio Bar Las Vegas
Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Audio Bar, Las Vegas Arts District. DJ SS of Formation Records, one of the pioneers of Jungle and Drum n Bass, played the Main Room for Bass Surge Wednesdays, and Panic 39 was there for it. Here's the recap.
Thank You, Audio Bar
First things first: a huge thank you to Audio Bar and its owner, Vincent Do (@nytehypevince), a close friend of ours. The whole crew there made us feel at home. Audio Bar backs the Las Vegas bass scene week after week, and nights like this don't happen without a room like this.
Walk up to the counter and look down. It's covered in old-school flyers from the culture, all sealed under a layer of resin, so they look like they're under glass but they're locked in for good. Real history, set into the bar. And buried in there is a large Panic sticker. We had no idea it was in there until we got to the venue. Seeing Panic 39 permanently part of the counter at Audio Bar was a moment we won't forget. Thank you for the love and for keeping the old-school flyer culture alive.
The Night
Bass Surge Wednesdays is a free weekly night at Audio Bar, and this one was a DJ SS special. Room 1 ran Drum n Bass, with MC Toddlah (Standard Procedure, UK) on the mic. Room 2, Under the Stars, ran Riddim & Dubstep.
Before the show, we asked SS what it means to play Vegas. His answer:
"Vegas is one of those special places to play in the world. Away from the gambling & stuff."
